Pepper Table With Fireworks
The top of this table is made from Pau
Amarello, a bright yellow wood from Brazil. The yellow color and
rectangular shape reminded Nutt of the oversize facades of the fireworks
stands that punctuate the highways in the South. "The graphics on
fireworks packages and fireworks stands fascinate me. They are much more
dynamic than what the fireworks actually deliver," says Nutt. The
surface of the table is covered with exploding firecrackers reminiscent of
these graphics, in inlaid wood.
