Okra Tri-Pod Table
According to Craig Nutt, "This may be
the definitive piece of 'Southern Furniture.'" The okra pod pedestal
and legs recall the fluted and reeded columns of Sheraton furniture, and
the "tilt top" invokes the spirit of eighteenth century piecrust
tables. The top of the Okra Tri-Pod Table is a slice through
the okra pod, carved in relief from curly maple. The table is finished in
okra colored lacquer.
